The next Cayo Brazil residency: Summer 2026

We will be seeking artists who focus on the environment, biology, ecology, or preservation in their work, and whose work encompasses a curiosity and reverence for the Earth's diverse wonders. We are open to artists working in all genres but will be most interested in artists who focus on marine or coastal biology. Our ideal residents are artists who want to deepen their practice through workshops, field trips, and dialog. These artists must be open to team cooperation and artistic autonomy. 

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Early June 2025 - Applications will open for the 2026 Summer residency.

RESIDENCY FEE and INFORMATION:

• The residency fee, workshops, and collaborative research opportunities will be announced in May or June of 2025.

• We cannot offer any scholarships or financial aid at this time, but this is one of our goals.

• Airfare, travel/health insurance and personal spending money are the responsibility of the artist.
